Our Projects

Our foundation focuses on three main project areas: conservation, restoration, and sustainability; environmental education and community engagement; and research. Each of these areas addresses crucial aspects for the protection and revitalization of our natural environment and the well-being of local communities.

Conservation, Restoration, and Sustainability

We develop a network of reserves and protected areas, create biological corridors for wildlife passage, and promote silvopastoral systems that integrate livestock and conservation efforts, fostering sustainable practices that benefit both nature and local communities.

Environmental Education
and Community Engagement

We conduct awareness programs on the importance of biodiversity, specifically focusing on the choibos, highlighting their presence, and promoting their conservation. We collaborate closely with local communities, children, and adolescents, fostering knowledge and respect for the natural environment.

Research Projects

Our research efforts cover various key areas for conservation. We study the ecology and behavior of primates, analyze the genetics and dynamics of their populations, and use passive sampling with cameras and audiomods to monitor mammal population trends. These efforts help us better understand ecosystems and design effective strategies for their preservation.

Fishing

Fishing Plastic

“Pescando Plástico”   "Fishing Plastic" focuses on cleaning and restoring plastics in fishing areas through community participation, aiming to enhance nature tourism and sustainable development in the region, with a focus on promoting harmonious livelihoods.

Restoration of Productive Landscapes

Wildlife Project

This conservation initiative focuses on the benefit of 15 wildlife species, aiming to implement effective conservation actions, influence productive practices, and rebuild social fabric for the benefit of the environment and local communities.

Conservation Leadership Programme

Night Monkey Project

This project aims to describe aspects of the biology of night monkeys and the influence of environmental factors on their behavior. Currently, we are studying night monkeys along an altitudinal gradient in forests with different characteristics in the departments of Cundinamarca, Quindío, and Santander. Additionally, it seeks to understand the phylogeographic relationships of night monkeys in northern South America.

Salvando Primates
